Toronto tech conference Elevate has rebranded as Nrth, organizers announced at the opening of this year’s threeday event in Toronto.
The nonprofit behind the festival is also adopting the new name. Organizers said the change reflects how the tech sector has evolved since the conference was first created and that they want the event to grow with it.
Along with the rebrand, organizers said they plan to hold more frequent events starting in 2027. This year’s conference featured scheduled appearances from speakers including former Toronto Raptor Kyle Lowry and Dragon’s Den investor Arlene Dickinson, with executives from companies such as Cohere, Reddit, Coinbase and MapQuest also expected to take part.
