Alanis Morissette lawsuit accuses former tour manager of extortion and fraud She claims blackmail over drug allegations; see the shocking court filing

Alanis Morissette has filed a lawsuit in California against her former tour manager, Keren Urinov, accusing her of extortion, fraud, and negligent misrepresentation. According to the complaint, Morissette says Urinov threatened to report her to British authorities for drug trafficking unless she agreed to a 15year contract and substantial compensation. The lawsuit says the dispute began after an incident at an airport in 2025, when authorities allegedly found drugs in a bag linked to Urinov. Morissette says Urinov later sent a series of demanding letters seeking a longterm role, higher pay, and help obtaining a U.S. work visa. The singer is asking for a jury trial and says she filed the case to stop what she describes as a blackmail scheme.
