Haaland later joked on Instagram that the raccoon “followed me home” and asked fans to help name it. The item was reportedly bought at Wild Bill’s Western Store in Dallas during Norway’s trip to the tournament.
The store said it had sold out of the raccoon and related taxidermy squirrels after the photos drew global attention. Norway was eliminated by England in the quarterfinals, and Haaland thanked fans for what he described as an emotional tournament.
