A Mississauga woman has been charged with seconddegree murder after a stabbing victim died in hospital days after the attack. Peel Regional Police said officers were called to Dixie Road and Dundas Street East on Sept. 6 at about 5:30 p.m., where they found a man with a serious neck wound. He was taken to hospital in critical condition. Police initially arrested a man at the scene, but later determined he was not responsible and released him. Investigators then arrested 42yearold Lorena Sanchez the next day and charged her with attempted murder. After the victim died on Sept. 10, the charge was upgraded to seconddegree murder. The investigation is continuing.
