Man arrested in Gatineau bar shooting death
Gatineau murder arrest: police charge Bradley Girard in Justine Larche's death Bar 77 shooting probe continues as investigators seek answers after April homicide
Gatineau police say a 21yearold man has been arrested in connection with the death of 39yearold Justine Larche, who was shot at a bar and strip club east of downtown last month.
Police identified the suspect as Bradley Girard and said he faces a seconddegree murder charge. Officers arrested him in Nominingue, Que., in the Laurentians region with help from the Sûreté du Québec.
Larche was found with serious gunshot wounds at Bar 77 on rue Main after reports of gunfire on April 23 and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said her death was the city’s first homicide of the year. Bar 77 has remained closed since the shooting, and investigators say the case is still ongoing.
