China will take the lead in promoting artificial intelligence cooperation and development among BRICS countries, President Xi Jinping said at the bloc's summit in New Delhi. In a statement released by China's foreign ministry, Xi said Beijing plans to launch a BRICS AI opensource community, support work on large language models, and organize seminars and training on AI. He also said China will help build a BRICS digital ecosystem cloud platform and expand digital skills training, technology exchange, and industrial cooperation. Xi further proposed creating a BRICS engineer training alliance and a youth exchange program focused on scientific and technological innovation.
