David Eby to leave for China trade mission, return early
B.C. trade mission to China focuses on approvals, infrastructure, and jobs See why Eby is returning early and what the new agreement could mean next month
B.C. Premier David Eby is set to depart Saturday for a trade mission to China, but he will come back a few days earlier than planned.
Eby said the federal government has asked him to be available in early July for an announcement tied to a finalized memorandum of understanding aimed at speeding up major infrastructure and project approvals.
He said his discussions will focus on British Columbia priorities, including the Massey Tunnel and the North Coast Transmission Line, and that he expects to have more to say about the agreement next month.
