Polymarket traders see SpaceX closing above $2 trillion on debut
SpaceX Nasdaq debut could surge past $1.8T as traders bet on a strong open See why Polymarket sees a 69% shot at $2T and what a first-day pop could mean
SpaceX is scheduled to begin trading on Nasdaq on Friday, and prediction market traders are betting that the company will end its first session well above its expected opening valuation.
The rocket maker, led by Elon Musk, is expected to price at $135 a share, implying a market value of about $1.77 trillion. On Polymarket, traders assign an 84% chance that SpaceX will close above $1.8 trillion and a 69% chance that it will exceed $2 trillion.
A finish above $2 trillion would place SpaceX among a small group of U.S. companies at that valuation level, alongside firms such as Nvidia, Apple, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Amazon. The article also notes that preIPO futures trading suggested a possible firstday gain of more than 20%.
