Cardano YouTube hack: IOG warns users after a fake crypto giveaway stream Stay alert, avoid links or QR codes, and protect your funds during the investigation

Input Output Group (IOG), the company behind Cardano, has warned users to stay away from its YouTube channel after it appeared to be hijacked on Friday. According to the report, the channel livestreamed a suspected AImanipulated video of Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson promoting a crypto giveaway and asking viewers to scan a QR code with a claim to “double your wealth.” The stream was presented as a Project Catalyst town hall and reportedly ran for nearly two hours. IOG said users should not click links, send funds, or share personal information connected to the channel while the issue is investigated. The incident highlights the continued use of fake livestreams and manipulated videos in cryptorelated scams.
