Beijingbased AI startup Moonshot said it has connected its Kimi model to major financial data providers and is rolling out tools aimed at banks, funds, and other finance clients. The company said users can access data from providers including S&P Global Market Intelligence, Wind, Crunchbase, Tianyancha, and public sources such as the SEC’s EDGAR system, the IMF, the World Bank, and the Federal Reserve’s FRED database. Moonshot also said firms including CICC and Hong Shan are among the users of its Kimi tools. The move highlights how AI companies are trying to turn model capabilities into practical business products. Moonshot did not say whether all of the firms mentioned are paying customers, and Deutsche Bank declined to comment after appearing in a promotional video.
