Only one person charged after RCMP dismantle Canada’s largest super lab

Falkland drug seizure case: guilty plea revives questions about a major superlab bust RCMP say the probe is still active as scrutiny grows over who else may be involved

A major drug seizure near Falkland, British Columbia, is back in the news after the only person charged in the case pleaded guilty in B.C. Supreme Court on Wednesday. Gaganpreet Singh Randhawa admitted to several drugtrafficking and firearmsrelated offences tied to the investigation. RCMP say the probe remains active, but no additional arrests have been made so far. The case has drawn scrutiny because investigators have not publicly identified any other suspects, despite police describing the operation as one of Canada’s largest drug superlab busts. A former prosecutor and a retired RCMP officer both said these kinds of organizations are often structured to shield those at the top from direct exposure.
