Toronto Raptors draft Jaden Bradley at No. 50 to boost defense and depth Arizona guard brings steady play and fits Toronto's identity as the search continues
The Toronto Raptors selected guard Jaden Bradley with the 50th pick in the second round of the NBA draft on Wednesday night.
Bradley, a 6foot3 guard from Arizona, said he has been following Toronto’s defensive identity and expects that style to fit his game. He pointed to Raptors players such as Jamal Shead and Scottie Barnes as examples of the kind of impact he wants to make.
The 22yearold averaged 13.3 points, 4.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 39 games last season, helping Arizona finish 363. Raptors assistant general manager Dan Tolzman described him as an experienced college player who could bring a steady presence as a rookie. Toronto also took power forward Allen Graves with the 19th overall pick in the first round and said it will continue looking at undrafted free agents.
