Snowbirds to make final Toronto flyover until the 2030s

Canadian International Air Show returns to Toronto with Snowbirds and RCAF demos Catch the Labour Day weekend spectacle before the Snowbirds vanish for years

The Canadian International Air Show returns to Toronto this Labour Day weekend, bringing aircraft demonstrations to the city’s lakeshore and marking the Snowbirds’ last appearance over Toronto for years. The ninejet Canadian aerobatics team is expected to be grounded until a replacement fleet is ready in the 2030s at the earliest. Military officials say the CT114 Tutor jets have long outlived their intended service life. At the air show, the Snowbirds will be joined by other aircraft, including a Royal Canadian Air Force CF18 and an RCMP Black Hawk helicopter. The event runs from Saturday through Monday, with performances scheduled from noon to 3:40 p.m. each day.
