Canada's men's soccer team will be shorthanded for upcoming friendlies in Toronto and Montreal after captain Alphonso Davies and goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau were left out of the 26player roster. Canada Soccer said Davies is unavailable because of his wedding celebrations and honeymoon, while Crepeau is dealing with a personal matter. Defender Moise Bombito is also out as he continues recovery after another surgery on his left tibia. Canada, ranked 30th in the world, will face Chile in Toronto on Sept. 26 and Peru in Montreal on Oct. 3 before meeting the United States in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Oct. 6. Head coach Jesse Marsch still has 17 players from the squad that reached the World Cup round of 16.
