A boy in Oshawa was airlifted to a Torontoarea trauma centre on Thursday after police say he was struck by a tree and was initially found without vital signs.
Durham police said an ambulance was called around 12:10 p.m. to a field near Oxford Street and Dwight Avenue after reports that a youth had been hit by a tree. Paramedics found a boy under 12 and provided medical assistance.
Police said the boy regained consciousness before being transported to a trauma centre for further treatment.
