Charlie Javice, the founder of Frank who was convicted of defrauding JPMorgan Chase, is reportedly seeking a pardon from the Trump administration, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Javice sold Frank to JPMorgan in 2021 for $175 million. Prosecutors said she overstated the company's customer count, and last year she was sentenced to more than seven years in prison. She is now appealing that conviction.
The report said the Trump administration has been reviewing a large number of possible pardons ahead of the United States' 250th anniversary. JPMorgan and a spokesman for Javice did not immediately comment.
