Robinhood CEO says AI agents could match human traders
AI agents could match human traders as Robinhood expands retail tools See how Tenev sees AI leveling the trading field and boosting Robinhood
Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said AI agents are likely to become capable of matching human traders, according to an interview with CNBC on Thursday.
Tenev said agentic AI, which can complete tasks on behalf of users, could eventually give retail investors access to tools and computing power similar to those used by institutional trading firms.
Robinhood introduced tools in May that let AI agents trade stocks and make purchases for users. The company also said this week that it plans to expand crypto trading in the U.K. as it grows its European business. Robinhood shares rose in premarket trading following the comments.
