Barrie dog attack update: police seek large brown bully-breed dog on the loose See where it was last spotted and why residents should report sightings now
Barrie police say they are still looking for a large dog that attacked several people, including an 11yearold boy, in the Essa Road and Loggers Run area.
Officers said they were first called Monday morning after reports that the loose dog had bitten or attacked multiple people. The child suffered serious but nonlifethreatening injuries while trying to get away on a scooter.
Police described the animal as a light brown bullybreed dog, possibly a mastiff, with a red leash attached to its collar. The last reported sighting was near Dove Crescent on Monday afternoon. Police said the owners are also being sought and may face charges, and anyone who sees the dog should contact police right away.
