Man dies after two-vehicle crash in Brampton

A man in his 20s died and five other men were taken to hospital after a twovehicle crash in Brampton on Saturday night, Peel Regional Police said.
Police responded at about 10:44 p.m. near McVean Drive and Countryside Drive. Investigators said one vehicle appears to have run a red light before the collision. The passenger in that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was hospitalized with nonlifethreatening injuries.
The other vehicle carried a driver and three passengers, all of whom were also taken to hospital. Police said two of them have lifethreatening injuries, one has nonlifethreatening injuries, and one has lifealtering injuries. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, and charges are pending as the investigation continues.
