Montreal police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened late Wednesday night at Turin Park in the Villeray–SaintMichel–ParcExtension borough. Police said they received several 911 calls around 10:30 p.m. about gunfire near De Castelnau and De Lanaudière streets. When officers arrived, they found a young man with a gunshot wound to his upper body lying unconscious in the park. Paramedics tried to revive him, but he was declared dead at the scene. The victim has not yet been identified. Investigators say shell casings were found nearby, and they are reviewing security video and using a canine unit as part of the case. No arrests have been made, and the motive remains unknown.
