Cyclists on cross-Canada mental health ride have bikes stolen in Winnipeg

Two men riding across Canada to raise awareness for men's mental health say their bikes were stolen in downtown Winnipeg on Friday morning while they were inside a CBC studio for an interview. Val Duquenne and Thomas Clark said the bikes were locked to a rack on the back of their car on Young Street, just off Portage Avenue, when the Ulock was cut and both bikes were taken. They filed police reports and shared the theft on social media, hoping the bikes will be recovered. The pair began their Men Don't Ride Alone journey in North Sydney, N.S., on June 22 and plan to finish in Victoria in September. They have raised about $6,500 so far for Movember Canada and say they will continue the trip, even if they need to replace the bikes or find another way to complete the ride.
