Several stocks moved sharply during midday trading on Thursday, including names across technology, biotech, semiconductors, and retail. Kymera Therapeutics rose after the company said it enrolled in a Phase 2b trial for KT621, a drug being studied for atopic dermatitis. BlackBerry also gained after reporting fiscal firstquarter results that beat Wall Street expectations. Other gainers included Micron, Qualcomm, BioTechne, and McCormick after strongerthanexpected results or updated outlooks. On the downside, Apple fell after raising prices for some MacBook and iPad models, while Microsoft declined after announcing higher Xbox console prices. Hertz Global dropped after a secondary share offering, AeroVironment slipped ahead of earnings, and Wendy’s gave back part of its earlier rally as retail trading momentum cooled.
