Thomas Müller scored a late penalty in the second half as the Vancouver Whitecaps came from behind to draw 11 with Los Angeles FC on Saturday night in Vancouver. LAFC had taken the lead at halftime after Son Heungmin scored for the visitors. Müller equalized in the 76th minute after being fouled in the penalty area. The result left Vancouver and LAFC tied on 34 points in the Western Conference. The match was the Whitecaps’ first at BC Place Stadium since late April, with a crowd of 40,086 in attendance. Vancouver next plays at Seattle on Aug. 16, while LAFC hosts San Diego on Aug. 15.
