Lululemon launches resale program in Canada

Lululemon resale expands in Canada with Like New for buying and selling Shop pre-owned gear for less, or sell your items for cash and store credit

Lululemon has introduced its Like New resale platform in Canada as more retailers move into the secondhand clothing market. The Vancouverbased company is now letting customers buy and sell preowned Lululemon items through an online marketplace. The program is supported by a 25,000squarefoot processing hub in Calgary operated by Tersus Solutions, where returned and used items are cleaned, inspected, graded, and prepared for resale. The company says sellers can receive 70% of the sale price in cash or 90% in store credit, with some items eligible for tradein even without a receipt. Industry analysts say resale has become more common as brands try to recover value from returned merchandise while appealing to shoppers looking for lower prices and more sustainable options. Other companies, including Canada Goose, Arc'teryx, Anián, and IKEA Canada, have also expanded resale or buyback programs.
