The Transportation Safety Board is investigating a helicopter crash near Knight Inlet on British Columbia’s West Coast that killed two people on Tuesday morning.
West Coast Helicopters said one of its employees died in the incident. The company said the aircraft was being used for forestry operations in Loughborough Inlet and had a pilot and two passengers on board.
According to the company, one person survived and two people died. West Coast Helicopters identified one of the victims as Riley Browne, describing him as a valued pilot and colleague. The other person who died was a crew member from forestry company CFMG, which has not commented publicly on the loss.
