Live Nation submits engineering report on Rogers Stadium damage
Rogers Stadium damage report follows Toronto storm, with repairs now under review See what officials and Live Nation say about the closure, repairs, and AC/DC show
The City of Toronto says Live Nation has delivered an engineering report on the damage Rogers Stadium sustained during last week’s severe rain and hail storm.
The storm left bleachers scattered across the site and appeared to cause partial damage to the grandstands. City inspectors responded by issuing a violation notice, ordering the venue to close, requiring an engineer’s inspection, and pushing for urgent repairs.
Toronto officials said the report is now being reviewed and that the city will keep working with the stadium owner. Live Nation also said it cancelled the Sept. 16 AC/DC concert because repairs are needed, and that the affected parts of the stadium will be removed and rebuilt before fans return next summer.
