A bus driven by a trainee plunged into the River Seine near Paris on Thursday after striking a parked car and leaving the road, according to reports from BBC and Reuters.
The incident took place in JuvisysurOrge, about 12 miles south of Paris, as the driver was near the end of practical training. Officials said all four people on board were rescued after a large emergency response involving firefighters, divers, boats, and a helicopter.
Authorities said the cause of the crash is still under investigation. They also reported that drug and alcohol tests were negative, and an internal review has been opened into how the bus ended up in the river.
