Camryn Rogers wins hammer throw at Lone Star Grand Prix

Camryn Rogers of Richmond, B.C., won the women's hammer throw at the Lone Star Grand Prix in College Station, Texas, on Saturday. The Olympic and world champion threw 79.36 metres in the third round to extend her unbeaten run in the event. Rachel Richeson of the United States finished second with 79.33 metres, while China's Jie Zhao placed third at 76.25 metres. Rogers had also won earlier in the week at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland and has not lost a hammer throw competition since June 2025. Other Canadians also recorded strong results in Texas. Andre De Grasse was second in the men's 100 metres, Audrey Leduc was second in the women's 100, and Aaron Brown took third in the men's 200. Christopher Morales Williams, Savannah Sutherland, and Abdullahi Hassan also finished among the top five in their events.
