Major League Soccer beat Liga MX 43 in the 2026 AllStar Game on Wednesday in Charlotte, North Carolina, extending its recent success in the annual matchup between the two leagues. MLS fell behind early after Liga MX opened the scoring, but Son Heungmin equalized and then scored again to help MLS take a 31 lead by halftime. Philip Zinckernagel added a third firsthalf goal for MLS, while Liga MX’s Salomon Rondon and Jose Paradela scored in the second half and stoppage time, respectively. Lionel Messi did not play, and Son was named MVP after his twogoal performance. MLS has now won four of its five AllStar meetings with Liga MX, and the league next turns back to its regularseason schedule.
