Marlen Reusser of Switzerland won the women’s elite individual time trial at the 2026 UCI Road World Championships in Montreal, successfully defending her title on Sunday. She finished 40.11 seconds ahead of the runnerup and claimed the rainbow jersey on her 35th birthday.
Great Britain’s Zoe Backstedt earned silver, while Germany’s Franziska Koch took bronze after an unexpected strong ride. Canada’s Nadia Gontova placed 19th and Olivia Baril finished 23rd.
The championships continue in Montreal for eight days, with more than 1,000 athletes from over 75 countries competing for their national teams rather than professional squads.
