Microsoft is scheduled to report fiscal fourthquarter results after Wednesday’s market close, with analysts expecting adjusted earnings of $4.24 per share on revenue of $87.62 billion. That would represent about 14.6% yearoveryear growth for the quarter ended June 30.
Investors are watching closely for signs that Microsoft may raise its capital spending outlook after Alphabet increased its own forecast last week. The company has also been balancing demand for AI chips across Azure cloud services, research work and products such as Microsoft 365 Copilot.
During the quarter, Microsoft rolled out a lowercost AI coding model, named Dan Shapero as the new LinkedIn chief and cut Xbox Game Pass subscription prices. Executives are expected to discuss the results and provide guidance on a conference call later in the day.
